Context
The Wayfinder Group guides leaders through some of the most complex policy and stakeholder landscapes in the country, in Hawaiʻi and on the federal stage. From offices in Honolulu and Washington, D.C., their work spans government relations, public affairs, strategic communications, digital marketing, community outreach, and research, at the intersection of the public and private sectors.
Challenge
Government affairs is a category where websites tend to bury real expertise behind dense pages and dated design. Wayfinder's thinking deserved better. They needed a brand and digital presence as sophisticated as the counsel they give: confident, modern, and rooted in a sense of place, without losing the gravitas their work requires.
Approach
We built the identity around a single organizing metaphor: wayfinding. The brand draws on Pacific navigation traditions and the literal act of charting a path, carried through visual language, motion, and copy across the site. Typography pairs editorial seriousness with warmth. The site was designed and built in Framer with full motion and video, structured to lead visitors from credibility (what we do) to relationship (who we are) to action (let's talk).
Outcome
A flagship-quality web presence that sets Wayfinder apart from a sea of generic D.C. firm websites. The site does the lifting on first impressions, so the team can spend their pitch time on substance. [TK: add metric, such as inbound leads, time on site, or RFP wins.]
